Eduard Steuermann
Leon Fleisher
My passion for teaching is inspired by the master teachers I have experienced in my own development. At the Juilliard School my mentor was Eduard Steuermann - a teacher of international renown and a central figure in the Viennese School in Europe.

Later, my program of study continued with the distinguished American pianist, Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory whose influence on the current generation of pianists is well known. These influences have led me to maintain their fundamental principles of sound tone production at the keyboard, proficiency in piano technique and structural musical awareness of the repertoire as applicable to students of all levels and ability.

In addition, I endeavor to sustain their dedication to the art of music as a means to explore one’s individuality and understanding of the world and its wonders as well as the innermost understanding of ourselves. Fortunately, such commitment is attainable at all levels of development which is my approach to meeting each student whether of limited, intermediate or advanced experience in piano playing.
