Teaching Principles

Regardless of age level or skill level, all my students receive an integrated lesson comprised of technique, theory, repertoire and performance practice, which are the essential ingredients for continued growth and mastery in the art of music. They are essential whether the student intends to pursue continuing study toward professional goals or is simply seeking personal growth and enjoyment. I am dedicated to support and encourage both of these personal goals of music study. When appropriate, students are invited to participate in group classes where the collegiality of the moment provides support, encouragement, shared values and communication among students. As with the private lessons, these events are available for all levels of development or personal goals.
